Home Angels Was Born from Personal Experience
Home Angels began with our own family’s experience of finding the right care for someone we loved. We understood first-hand how important it is to find a Carer you can trust to provide compassionate, reliable and professional support.
How It All Began
Home Angels began when our founder’s mother became ill and the family needed someone they could trust to care for her. They were looking for a Carer who was experienced, dependable and genuinely compassionate — someone who would care for her with the same dignity and kindness they would expect for their own family.
Finding the right person proved more difficult than expected, and that experience became the inspiration for Home Angels.
That same principle still guides us today. When selecting a Carer, we ask ourselves one simple question: Would we be happy to entrust someone we love to this person’s care?
How We Choose Carers
Every Carer goes through a thorough screening and vetting process before being considered for placement. By the time we introduce a Carer to your family, we have already taken the necessary steps to ensure they meet the standards we expect at Home Angels.
Trained & Experienced
Our Carers have completed formal training that includes both theoretical knowledge and practical, hands-on care, equipping them to provide safe and compassionate support to elderly, frail and vulnerable people.
Hands-On Care
Our Carers have an average of seven years’ experience providing care to elderly and frail people, bringing valuable practical knowledge and confidence to every placement.
Vetted and Referenced
Qualifications, training certificates and references are carefully verified before a Carer is accepted onto our database.
Matched to the Person
Finding the right personality fit is just as important as finding the right skills and experience. We consider each person’s individual needs, circumstances and personality when selecting a Carer for a placement.
Trained in Dementia Care
Carers supporting people living with dementia receive specialised training to help them understand changes in behaviour, communication and care needs, and to provide calm, patient and compassionate support.
Professional Nursing Support
Our Carers work under the guidance of our nursing team, providing an added level of professional support and oversight. Should a client require a formal nursing assessment, this can be arranged separately and is subject to an additional charge.

Receiving help with personal care can leave someone feeling vulnerable. Our Carers are expected to provide support with kindness, patience and respect, always protecting the dignity and privacy of the person in their care.
Supporting The Whole Family
Care affects the whole family, not only the person receiving it. We work closely with families, offering guidance, reassurance and support as their loved one’s needs change.
Supporting Independence at Home
For many people, remaining at home surrounded by familiar people, routines and belongings can provide comfort and reassurance. Where it is safe and appropriate, our home-based care can provide the support needed to help make this possible for as long as it remains the right option.
Clear & Transparent Costs
We believe families should understand exactly what their care will cost. Our care options are based on the level of support and hours required, with no pressure to take more care than is needed. As needs change, the level of care can be adjusted accordingly.
And a Place to Come To
Alongside our home-based care, our Senior Day Care Centre provides a safe and welcoming place to spend the day, with companionship, activities, freshly prepared meals and professional care, with nursing staff on site.
Some families use Day Care for the companionship and stimulation it provides. For others, it gives the person caring for their loved one at home valuable time to work, attend to other responsibilities or simply take a well-earned break.
Caring for someone you love can be demanding, and taking time for yourself is an important part of being able to continue providing that care.
